Gongs in the Yurt: The Final Stretch of Winter’s Stillness
Friday 27th February, 7-8pm
Join Lydia, from Creatively Curious Therapy, for an evening of gongs in the yurt. The fire will be glowing, the space warm and calm, allowing you to settle into your cosy nest of blankets and cushions.
As the night gathers round, the gongs will begin their slow, soothing song, inviting you to leave the world outside behind, and rest deeply.
Lie back and let the sound carry you into stillness. This is a space to simply be - to breathe, release, and let the sound do the work. A moment to pause, soften, and restore your inner calm.
Why come?
As winter lingers and the darkness perhaps feels long, this evening is an invitation to pause. To rest in a space where nothing is asked of you. To be held in warmth and safety, soothed by the resonance of the gongs.
The vibrations help the body unwind and the mind quieten - a balm for those carrying the noise of busy lives or tender hearts. My intent is that you’ll leave feeling lighter, softer, and more connected to yourself, refreshed in that quiet, wordless way that deep rest can bring.
What to Bring
Cosy layers, blankets, cushions or pillows - anything that helps you feel comfortable and supported. Yoga mats and bolsters are provided. You’ll be lying or sitting for around 60 minutes, so please think comfort: bring extra padding, a thicker mat, or even an airbed, folding recliner, or sun lounger if you prefer. You’re also welcome to bring and sit on a camping or folding chair.
An eye mask to help you further switch off. Water to drink at the conclusion of the session.
If you need any additional consideration to fully take part, please let Lydia know - your comfort and inclusion are important.
Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can make the most of our hour together!
